How to Customize the Metadata Tags Displayed in MetaImage?

MetaImage supports a large number of metadata tags, but you probably don't need to see all of them while editing your photos.

You can customize which metadata tags are displayed in the MetaImage interface and arrange them in the order that best fits your workflow.

This makes it easier to keep frequently used fields such as dates, GPS coordinates, copyright information, or camera metadata immediately accessible.

Step 1: Open Your Images in MetaImage

Open MetaImage and import the images you want to edit.

The metadata tags currently configured in MetaImage are displayed on the right side of the window.

Step 2: Open the Tag Manager

Click Manage at the bottom of the metadata panel.

The Tag Manager lets you choose which metadata fields appear in the main interface.

Step 3: Add Metadata Tags

The Tag Manager displays the available metadata tags on the left and the tags currently displayed in MetaImage on the right.

Select the metadata tags you want to add and use the dedicated button to include them in your displayed tags.

You can also drag and drop tags from one list to the other.

Step 4: Reorder Your Metadata Tags

Once you've added the metadata fields you need, you can arrange them in your preferred order.

Simply drag and drop tags to reorder them.

For example, if you frequently edit capture dates, GPS coordinates, keywords, and copyright information, you can place those fields at the top of the list and keep less frequently used metadata further down.

Customizing the displayed tags lets you adapt MetaImage to the type of metadata you work with most often.

A photographer might prioritize EXIF camera and capture information, while someone preparing images for publication might prefer IPTC descriptions, keywords, creator, and copyright fields.

Keeping only the metadata you regularly use visible makes the interface easier to navigate and speeds up repetitive editing tasks.
