ScreenToLayers converts screens to Photoshop documents. In other words, the app allows you to take screenshots by keeping each layer separate.
The app is located in the menu so you have access to it every time.
Your screenshots will be saved in PSD format. Each element in a different layer.
You can capture only the element you want (advanced options available).
You can finally edit your captures after taking them. Just use your favorite editors.
An alternative interface is provided for advanced users who want more controls. The application allows you to select specific components and to enable or disable shadows and framing.
“The app does what it promises, providing an easy and fast way to take screenshots and then edit them. Super App and that too free!”
“At first a bit unfamiliar (as better things are usually), but once you get it, what it's all about and how to use it, it's really good to use. Thanks for well made freeware!”
“Works great and when I reported a bug in the application the turn around time to release was just a couple days in total. Great support, communication, and the application is now my goto app for screenshots.”
“This simple program works just as you think, wish and hope. The job of taking good screenshots becomes so much easier with a tool like this!”
“We really have access to the layers in Photoshop, they are named and therefore we know quickly what they correspond: mouse cursor, dock, to the icons of the finder bar that can be disabled, wallpaper etc... this application is perfect and free some time ago you had to pay an app like Layers or other”
“This app is a layered screen saver which has simplified my work a few times, so I recommend it because it works really well. I also work with Pixelmator, there is nothing wrong with it. Feel free to fill it!”
